Madison Parents in favor of fourth first grade teacher

Dear Dr. Harris,We the parents of the first grade attendee's of Madison elementary school, would like another first grade teacher hired, for Madison Elementary School. At present, the number of children in each class is far greater than any other school in district 200. We strongly believe that this will not contribute in a positive manner to the Intellectual, Social and Emotional development of the children. We believe that a positive first grade experience is paramount for the success of a student's educational career. We believe it can take several years for a student to make up for the lack of resources or attention that an over-taxed educator was unable to provide. We also believe that the larger class sizes will affect Madison's test scores and subsequently government funding for the district. We respectfully ask that another first grade teacher be employed by district 200 for Madison Elementary school, 1620 Mayo Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60189 Thank You Madison Parents
